4 Additional Members Joined the MACC Network's Collaborative
Employee Benefits Platform
In 2018 MACC’s Human Resources Services team helped our members offer more benefits to their employees. One of the powerful benefits of our collaborative network is our ability to work together to leverage our collective scale.
Employee benefits represent the most volatile costs for any organization and play a critical role in recruitment and retention. One of the early collaborative initiatives our members co-created was to leverage our scale to develop an innovative platform of shared employee benefits. These benefits included dental and vision insurance, life insurance, and short and long term disability insurance, and more.
Once developed, the platform became scalable to other organizations. MACC's Human Resources Services team continues to engage providers and negotiate costs in ways that no individual member organization could.
In 2018 MACC’s Human Resources Services team worked hard to expand access to these benefits to the wider MACC network, educating members about their options and helping them make smart choices.
The result: four new members decided to take advantage of MACC's collaborative benefits platform. That means four organizations able to offer new benefits to their employees and expanded coverage to almost 100 employees.
As of 2018 almost half the MACC network is participating in these benefits. This means individual organizations are able to offer more benefits to their employees, while creating cost savings for our network as a whole.
